Executive
Stuart Belkin
Chairman & CEO
Stuart has been Chairman and CEO since 1987 and oversees all investments and operations under the guidance of the company’s Board of Directors.
Stuart joined the family business full time in 1984, when its principal focus was Belkin Inc., Canada’s largest paperboard packaging company. Prior to this, he worked in the commercial banking industry.
Stuart has served as Chairman of Rogers Sugar Ltd., Lantic Sugar Inc., Canadian Hotel Income Properties, and Mohawk Oil Canada, all of which are Canadian public companies in which Belkorp held or currently holds a significant investment.
Stuart has also served on other public company Boards including Timberwest Forest Limited and Coastal Contacts. His public service interests include serving as Chair of the Board of Governors at UBC, Director of St. Paul’s Hospital, Trustee of St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Head of Leadership Giving with the United Way of the Lower Mainland, Trustee of the Vancouver Police Foundation, and as Sectoral Advisor Canada/U.S. Trade Agreement.
Stuart holds a Bachelor of Arts from UBC.
Bruno Di Spirito
President & COO
Bruno is responsible for leading the team and day to day operations.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2019, Bruno spent 25 years as a senior executive with two other local family businesses. He has extensive experience in acquisitions and divestitures; capital markets; corporate and commercial financing and real estate investments and operations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. He started his career working five years in audit at Price Waterhouse.
Bruno holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the UBC Sauder School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Leanne Moretto
Vice President, Finance & CFO
With over 25 years of financial experience and responsibility, Leanne is a highly skilled and trusted member of the leadership team. In addition to supporting investing and financing activities for all Belkorp entities, Leanne is responsible for Belkorp’s finance and administration functions including financial reporting, planning and analysis and human resource management.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2007, Leanne spent eight years at Intrawest where she worked in mergers and acquisitions and financial reporting. Leanne began her career in public practice with five years at KPMG.
Leanne holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the UBC Sauder School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Trevor Bruno
Vice President & Chief Legal Officer
Trevor is involved in all aspects of operational, investment, divestiture and management decisions, in addition to providing legal support for all business operations.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2016, Trevor spent 10 years at Intrawest where he held numerous roles, including President of Intrawest’s hospitality and timeshare division, Vice President of Corporate Development, and legal counsel. Trevor also spent six years practicing at Sidley Austin LLP in New York.
Trevor holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science from UBC.

Emily Joy
Corporate Controller
Emily oversees Belkorp’s accounting operations and ensures compliance with regulatory standards and financial reporting best practices.
Before joining Belkorp in 2023, she spent 12 years in public practice at EY, holding progressive roles across Vancouver, San Francisco, Geneva, and Delhi, where she served multinational clients across a range of industries.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the UBC Sauder School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant
Terry Ko
Vice President, Taxation & Treasury
Terry is responsible for Canadian and cross-border tax, in addition to other administrative and operational aspects including treasury and risk management.
Prior to joining Belkorp, Terry worked in audit and taxation for public practice firms in Vancouver, including KPMG LLP.
Terry obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, a Master of Business Administration at McGill University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Leilah Birton
Manager, Taxation
Leilah is responsible for overseeing tax strategy, compliance, and reporting.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2024, Leilah served as Taxation Manager for the Pattison Food Group, following a range of roles in taxation, financial planning & analysis, and accounting. She brings a diverse business and tax skillset along with over 10 years of experience in the field. This also includes exposure to international markets and successful collaboration across diverse cultural environments.
Leilah holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Thompson Rivers University, a Master of Laws in Taxation from UBC, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Getu Zelleke
Director, Finance & Special Projects
Getu is responsible for special projects including new systems implementations, business process improvements and IT management. In addition, Getu is currently transitioning into risk management and insurance.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2019, Getu served as Vice President of Finance at Corvus Energy, following his role as Director of Finance. He also held controller roles at established companies in the technology and mining sectors, bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance.
Getu holds a Bachelor of Management from Addis Ababa University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Alex Stepanov
Manager, IT
Alex leads the strategic direction and management of Belkorp’s technology infrastructure, ensuring the organization’s systems operate with optimal efficiency, security, and scalability.
Since joining Belkorp in 2020, Alex has brought a wealth of experience from various IT roles at prominent financial institutions, including Peoples Trust (a division of Peoples Group) and Westminster Savings Credit Union. Throughout his career, Alex has demonstrated a strong track record of delivering complex technology solutions, driving cross-functional collaboration, and enhancing enterprise IT performance.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Capital University, supported by multiple industry-recognized certifications.

Folkert Van Dijk
Vice President, Real Estate and Business Development
Folkert is responsible for the general management and investment decisions of the real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2010, Folkert spent three years at Intrawest where he served as Director of Operations and Director of Design and Development and led the company’s hotel expansion into the United States. He also worked for Hyatt International in Europe and the Middle East.
Folkert holds a Bachelor of Hospitality Management from The International School of the Hague.
Dali Janic
Vice President, Asset Management
Dali is responsible for all aspects of the real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2019, Dali spent six years as Senior Property Manager with the Larco Group, as well as three years at both McDonald Realty and Colliers International. Dali has a wealth of real estate experience, having managed commercial properties, major residential portfolios, and residential and commercial strata properties.
Dali is a graduate of the Strata and Rental Property Management License program from the UBC Sauder School of Business.
Charles Kullar
Real Estate Accounting and Reporting
Charles oversees the financial operations, business processes, budgeting, and financial reporting for the real estate division.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2024, Charles spent seven years at Beedie and three years at Bentall Kennedy, where he held many roles, including Assistant Manager and Senior Accountant for Asset Management Accounting.
With over 10 years of experience in accounting, lease interpretation, property and cash flow management, audit prep, financial statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting, Charles has a wealth of financial expertise.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Principal Investments
Ali Majid
Vice President, Principal Investments
Ali is responsible for decision making within the Principal Investments division.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2018, Ali spent five years at Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management where he was a Senior Analyst on the Canadian equities team. Ali has significant experience in capital markets, having worked for both CIBC World Markets and Macquarie Group. Prior to his career in finance, Ali worked as an operations and development engineer with Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a CFA charterholder.
Patrick Foulkes
Associate, Principal Investments
Patrick is responsible for investment recommendations and analysis.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2016, Patrick spent two years working as an analyst for Global Royalty Corp.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Management from Dalhousie University and is a CFA charterholder.
Wolfe Belkin
Analyst, Principal Investments
Wolfe joined Belkorp in 2020 and is responsible for investment analysis and recommendations.
Wolfe holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, a Master of Arts from Naropa University and is a CFA charterholder.

Peter Young
President, Belkorp Ag
Peter oversees all sales and customer relationships for Belkorp Ag.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2015, Peter spent eight years with Cummins Western Canada as Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Operations. He also worked for Univar Canada and KPMG.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Brent Fukushima
Vice President of Sales, Belkorp Ag
Brent oversees sales and customer satisfaction in the northern region for Belkorp Ag.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2016, Brent spent two years as a Ranch Manager for Klein Family Farms.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno.
Marc Ouse
Corporate Aftermarket Manager, Belkorp Ag
Marc is responsible for central support to business operations, aftermarket business development and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2020, Marc worked for 23 years in engineering management in the manufacturing industry.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from California State University - Stanislaus State.
Environmental
Russ Black
President, Wastech Services Inc.
Russ oversees the general management and strategic business development needs within Wastech Services.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2002, Russ worked for a variety of public and private sector companies, primarily in the utility services business, for over 15 years.
Russ holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from UBC, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Athabasca and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Zahra Pirani
General Manager, Wastech Services Inc.
Zahra oversees the day-to-day operations within Wastech Services.
Prior to joining Belkorp in 2021, Zahra worked for 14 years for a variety of environmental and energy firms including Stantec and Keystone Environmental. Zahra has extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and engineering projects in BC and Alberta, and serves as President for the Science Advisory Board for Contaminated Sites in BC.
Zahra holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from UBC, a Master of Environmental Engineering from Dalhousie University, a Project Management Professional designation, and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Tim Lindsay
Operations Controller, Wastech Services Inc.
Tim is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and business processes for the Campbell Hill Landfill.
Prior to joining Belkorp, Tim worked in a variety of accounting roles for 14 years, primarily for professional services and government organizations.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Exeter and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
