Belkin Packaging Started in the 1950's as a folding carton operation it acquired several additional plants and expanded over a period of 30 years. Acquisitions and expansion included the Burnaby paperboard mill in 1970, Sommerville Industries Limited in 1977, and the paperboard and folding carton operations of The Continental Group of Canada in 1981. In 1984 it acquired the Capital Plastics packaging plant in Surrey BC. Belkin Packaging was sold in 1987 to Paperboard Industries. |

CHIP REIT An integrated hotel real estate investment trust focused on mid-market and upscale full-service hotels. CHIP REIT currently owns or manages 38 hotels with approximately 8,400 rooms. Belkorp held controlling interest at the board level and owned approximately 30% of the trust. CHIP REIT was sold in August 2007. |

Mohawk Oil Mohawk Oil Canada Ltd. was a Western Canadian distributor of Oil and Gas products through a chain of retail service stations and an oil re-cycling facility in Vancouver. Belkorp acquired an initial holding in Mohawk Oil in 1994 and sold the retail holdings to Husky Energy in 1998 and the oil re-cycling division to Newalta Corporation in 2002. |

Newstech Belkorp also developed and operated British Columbia’s largest newspaper and magazine recycling plant in Coquitlam in 1990. This business was sold to Catalyst Paper Company in 2003. |
